Non-Profit Fundraiser

Volunteers

ARM is always seeking passionate, motivated, and skilled volunteers. ARM needs volunteers of all age groups with different skills, to organize parties, gala dinners, or informative seminars, to write articles, to design and write newsletters, or produce documentaries. Various groups representing different age and skills demographics are currently active in forwarding ARM's objective. Administrative Assistant Needed ARM (Advancement of Research for Myopathies), a non-profit organization, needs a skilled part-time or full-time Administrative Assistant. Flexible hours. Wage based on skills and experience.

This position offers potential for growth. Tasks and duties will increase according to abilities, and can become diverse, challenging and exciting!

Environment: Small, dynamic team, operating in an office with biomedical laboratory.

Job Description:

Assistance to ARM and Board of Directors includes, but is not limited, to the following: -Administration and processing of fundraising efforts.
-Database and marketing activities.
-Managing and updating website as needed.
-Answering letters and e-mail messages.
-Preparing for board meetings and taking minutes.
-Assist the research grant administrator.
-Assist in designing and preparing regular newsletter updates.
-Office duties such as answering phone, ordering supplies, filing, etc.

Required Skills

-Fluency in both English and Farsi. Writing skills in English is a must.
-Great communication and presentation skills.
-Strong oral and written communication skills.
-Proficiency with basic office computer programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and QuickBooks.
-Self-starter, and able to work independently and meet reasonable deadlines.
